Budget hotel chain umi has announced a special January sale – offering the cheapest hotel deals possible for its establishments in London and Brighton.
The chain is offering its rooms for just £1 plus VAT per night, and it is promising that there is “no catch.”
Despite their three-star status, umi Brighton and umi London hotels offer a touch of luxury, such as a 24-hour bar, concierge service and breakfast available until noon.
Owner Steve Lowy revealed today that throughout January, every hotel will make one room available for £1 a day – including breakfast – which makes 62 rooms in total available during the month, with the cheap hotel deal offered on a first come first served basis.
The offer will be of particular use to people from outside London looking for cheap hotels in the capital to stay at the night before they catch cheap flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, City or Luton airports.
For business guests, the offer also means the chance to submit their email details and win the chance to rent a conference room, plus light lunch, hot drinks and 25-person capacity, for just £1 +VAT as well.
Mr Lowy, who is a director of the British Education Travel Association (BETA) and STAYWYSE, said: “We ran a similar promotion last year and it was incredibly successful – the sale gives us a chance to introduce umi to new customers and helps both guests and staff beat those January blues. It is a simple offer, there are no catches and allows a lot of people to grab a bargain in January in a time where it can be all get a bit depressing.”
