Tips

North Africa’s most relaxed and hospitable country, Tunisia is the ideal destination for cheap all inclusive holidays a little out of the ordinary. Tunisia holidays offer all the sun, sea and sand you want from a relaxing vacation, while its status as an Arab Maghreb country offers you a culture you won’t experience anywhere else. Located in Africa and part of the Arab world, cheap Tunisia holidays make you feel a million miles away; however with the Mediterranean in front of you offer a welcome familiarity. Beyond the alluring beaches and gentle sea breeze lies a diverse landscape with desolate, ancient sites you can take in at your own pace. As interesting as it is sun-drenched, Tunisia is an amazing destination.

Beat the Brochure’s Top 5 recommendations

  • Ksar Ghilane

Located in Southern Tunisia, Ksar Ghilane is a quaint oasis offering one of the most memorable and active experiences of the Sahara Desert. Ksar Ghilane is set against a backdrop of miles and miles of extraordinary sand dunes, attractions there for your exploration; be it by foot, camel ride or horseback. Buggies are also available for hire for the adrenaline-seekers looking to partake in some rallying. Ksar Ghaline also offers plenty of places to stay and is an unforgettable excursion within your Tunisia holidays.

  • Hammemet

Tunisia’s first and arguably most popular tourist destination, Hammemet is a beautiful town on the North-Eastern coast of the country. Hammamet offers magnificent beaches, relaxed atmosphere, top Tunisia hotels and Tunisia’s best nightlife. Besides the beach, the town has a medina (old non-European market area) and mineral baths at your disposal. Combining tourism and culture, Hammamet is the perfect location for cheap Tunisia holidays.

  • Tabarka

Tabarka is a small fishing village in the North-West of Tunisia that is famed for its underwater scenery, jazz music festival and extensive history. The Phoenicians, The Romans, The Arabs and The Turks have all, at some point in history, left their mark on the area. The Mediterranean’s landscapes are at their most beautiful at Tabarka, making it the ideal location to go snorkelling or diving on your cheap Tunisia holidays.

  • Bardo Museum

Boasting an unparalleled collection of Roman mosaics, the Bardo Museum is definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Tunis, the country’s capital city. The museum itself was formerly a palace built in the 13th Century, making it a historical landmark in its own right. As well as the Roman artefacts, the museum houses antiquities from other great ancient civilisations, like Greece.

  • Mides Gorge

Mides Gorge is named after the village it’s located in, in the South-West region of Tunisia. At the Gorge you’ll see spectacular waterfalls, magnificent sand dunes and an impressive natural monument of uniquely shaped cliffs and rock edges, cut from nothing but the river that ran through it. The trek is approximately 6km and it can get very, very hot so take plenty of water.
