Where to begin? Some visit and see no reason why they should leave the beach - and with heat that can reach the high thirties in the summer common place - it is had to blame them. But if you want to really appreciate the wonder of Sharm, then exploring the resort from top to bottom and beyond will leave you with enough memories to last a lifetime.

Whether it’s sunbathing by the sea, diving amongst coral reefs or enjoying the nightlife of Naama Bay, cheap Sharm el-Sheikh holidays can be moulded into whatever you want them to be.

Beaches Galore

  • The Red Sea is as calm as a sea can be, meaning it is safe for the little ones to enjoy and the ideal place for youngsters to splash around in. Buy a snorkel and go fish hunting with the kids – they’ll love it!

  • For smaller more intimate beaches, head slightly to the north of the main central hub where you’ll find White Knights, Nabq and Sharks Bay. These are ideal for couples who want to be alone and free from the all action family beaches

  • Suit up and go diving either at the Ras Mohammed National Park or the Tiran Straits. Sharm el Sheikh is considered to be one of the top 5 dive locations in the world. See for yourself why…

Day Excursions

  • Cairo is a short trip away so make sure you experience the capital city and the ancient sights it is home to. The Great Sphinx is a must see

  • The River Nile is famous the world over and there are plenty of opportunities to take a cruise or boat trip along it just a short hop from Sharm el Sheikh

  • Looking for something more thrilling than a river cruise? Venture out into the Sinai desert and take in a jeep safari or a desert camel ride to get a true Egyptian experience

Night Time Fun

  • For the casual gambler, then a trip to one of Sharm’s numerous casinos is a no brainer. Just make sure you have got your head around the exchange rate before you enter otherwise it could be an expensive night!

  • Soho Square is emerging as one of the best places to spend an evening outside of the luxury of your Sharm el-Sheikh hotel. Located at White Knights Bay, Soho Square is an entertainment centre designed to appease the whole family

  • As a romantic treat, head into the desert and take part in one of the common star gazing trips. There is nothing more relaxing than looking up at the stars whilst surrounded by emptiness in the vast Sinai desert

Hints & Tips

  • Whilst there are plenty of places to eat in and around the main resort centre, but if you want to experience some traditional Egyptian cooking, then take a stroll down to Abou el Sid. Here you’ll be able to taste some local food at low, low prices.
