Tips

  • why book a holiday to Canary Islands

  • Great year round destination for sun and family fun

  • Plenty of opportunities to get out of resort and explore the unusual landscape

  • Picture perfect beaches

The largest and most popular of the Canary Islands, Tenerife is a haven for holidaymakers looking for sun, relaxation, fun and familiarity. Tenerife holidays offer year-round sunshine, beautiful beaches and fascinating, diverse options for day trips, creating a perfect destination for couples, families, solo travellers – in fact everyone and anyone.

But do not go thinking that Tenerife offers up the same beaches you get everywhere else. In fact this could not be further from the truth, as many of Tenerife’s beaches consist of black sand thanks to its volcanic past. The terrain is also extremely diverse, with plenty of walking routes and trails to explore. Tenerife has plenty to offer everyone:

  • The interior of the island is simply stunning. You’ll find traditional villages with whitewashed buildings, fruit plantations (bananas mainly) and a landscape which is often described as ‘lunar’ – a trip away from the beaches really is like visiting the moon!

  • The UNESCO designated World Heritage Site at Mount Teide is one of the most visited national parks on the planet, with a 2.8 million visitors per year.

  • If you like the bright lights, Playa de Las Americas’ infamous Veronicas Strip is Tenerife’s go to destination for letting your hair down and dancing the night away well into the early hours.
