In summer the coast is packed solid with people and the skies are usually cloudy. It gets very hot though. Nice is home to about 350,000 people, all of whom seem to be remarkably chilled. The locals like nothing better than strolling along the Promenade des Anglais showing off their clothes and hair and tans with enviable amounts of je ne sais quoi. Watch out for roller skaters and joggers though… they get everywhere.
