This hotel was built in 1928 in typical Amsterdam style. There is a total of 242 rooms on 7 floors. The hotel's reception is occupied 24 hours a day. The facilities include a hairdresser's salon and a restaurant with a separate non-smoking area. A public garage is located in the neighbourhood and may be used for an additional fee.
Location
Located in the city centre, this hotel overlooks the famous Leidse Square and one of the many canals of Amsterdam. It is also situated very close to the Rijks Museum, the Holland Casino, the Vondel Park, PC Hooftstraat, the most fashionable shopping street of Amsterdam, as well as the majority of tourist attractions.
Rooms
The bedrooms were completely renovated in 2004 and now offer a vastly improved product. All rooms have an attractive dark wooden floor with dark wooden fittings and earthy beige and cream colour scheme and soft furnishings As they have only recently been renovated, they are all in very good condition. The bathrooms are also newly renovated with beige floor and wood tiles and are also in very good condition.
Restaurant
There are two restaurants in this property. The Italian restaurant "Bice" which is very popular with local businessmen and overlooks the Leidseplein, and the new bistro loungebar which is located in the newly renovated lobby and serves light snacks as well as more hearty fare in a trendy and relaxed atmospehere.

The exterior of the hotel is modern.
Lobby
The lobby was completely renovated in 2005 and offers a typical NH atmosphere with predominantly black and orange colour scheme, wood floors, plenty of space and areas to sit, as well as the loungebar mentioned above. It is both welcoming and luxurious at the same time.
