BTB’s View
This hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Amsterdam and opposite Central Station making it a 15 minute train ride to the airport, and a great location not only for visiting Amsterdam but also for visiting the rest of the country. It is suitable for all markets and comes highly recommended.
Location
This hotel is located in the very centre of Amsterdam, opposite the train station and within walking distance of the canals with their boutique shops and cafe culture, the Red Light District, Flower Market and most of the tourist attractions this city has to offer.
Rooms
As this hotel only opened in March 2005, the bedrooms are in very good condition and are decorated in a brilliant white colour with a splash of colour on one wall in the form of a giant photograph, either of the sea or of grass. The furniture is very modern and they are small to medium in size. The bathrooms are also in brilliant white and are in very good condition and have modern style facilities.
Restaurant
This is located on the ground floor with a separate street entrance and so serves not only hotel guests but the public, also. It serves a hot buffet breakfast and light meals for lunch and dinner and is decorated in the style of a bistro with wood flooring, wood tables and modern leather seating.
Exterior
Although the original building was torn down and this is a brand new building, due to the strict building laws in Amsterdam, the new building had to be in the old, traditional style to fit in with the neighbourhood.
Lobby
The lobby is medium and airy with a black and white tiled floor, terracotta leather chairs and pale blue beams on the ceiling giving it a modern style but with a twist of tradition.
