There are four major airports to choose from for flights to South Carolina. Charleston International Airport is located about 12 miles from central Charleston. Then there’s Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport, Myrtle Beach International Airport and Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) is located in Upstate South Carolina, midway between the cities of Greenville and Spartanburg. Take flights to South Carolina if you fancy a shag… the shag is apparently the state’s official dance. They have their own Nessie too – every now and again there’s a sighting of a sea monster at Lake Murray.

Or take in Orangeburg, AKA Garden City, home to the delightful Edisto Memorial Gardens, jam packed with masses of fragrant roses.
