XV Beacon offers the city's peak hotel experience, as evidence by the prominent rankings it recently received from Travel & Leisure. In the magazine's tenth annual "World's Best" Awards poll results, which appeared in Travel & Leisure's August 2005 issue, XV Beacon came in at number 15 among the Top 100 Best Hotels in the Continental U.S. and Canada and number 62 among the Top 100 Best Hotels in the World.

Restaurant
The Federalist is one of Boston's top 10 culinary destinations with an atmosphere of the worlds most prestigious clubs. The signature of 'The Fed' is Boston's most extensive wine cellar featuring 2,900 selections of over 31, 000 bottles of rare wines. It has been nominated People's Choice Best Restaurant in the city twice and received Wine Spectator's Grand Award for 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. The Federalist is open every day and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as brunch on the weekends.
Exterior
Elegant 61 room hotel housed in a turn of the century two-story Beaux Arts building. The façade's first two stories are cast iron, adorned with gilded shields. The third story is a limestone band supporting five stories of roman brick. The ninth and tenth floors are limestone-fluted columns with mosaic inserts, capped by an opulent oversized copper cornice.
Lobby
The building's original cage elevator and its cast-brass railing with brass newel post dominates the hotels lobby and provides guests with a taste of 'Old Boston'. Mahogany walls surround the lobby and a cozy fireplace radiates a warm welcome. Located on the lobby level are the lounge, bar and the Federalist dining room.
