But you’ll also be able to hunt down good value guest houses and B&Bs alongside the five star monsters. Hotels in Marmaris with three stars include the Anemon Hotel, a traditionally styled building that has been carefully furnished to give an authentic Turkish tone. As hotels in Marmaris go their breakfasts are legendary, served in a delightful restaurant overlooking the garden and swimming pool. The hotel boasts ‘French’ beds… we’re not sure why French beds are so enormously desirable. If you stay there, let us know.
Hotels in Marmaris – Focus on the beach!
Most hotels in Marmaris are beach focused although the beaches are a bit odd, made of slightly gritty black volcanic sand. Then again it gets into your trunks and bikini bottoms just as effectively as golden and white sand does, so what’s the problem? It is a bit like being in a photographic negative, though, especially after a late night. The 5 star Hotel Aqua is well located on Icmeler Beach, like many Marmaris hotels a short stroll from the beach. Hotels in Marmaris almost all have a private pool and this is no exception; there’s an outdoor and indoor pool plus safe swimming pools for the kids. Sun terraces, a couple of restaurants, four good bars, Turkish bath and massage, blah blah… all in all, it’s extremely well equipped and there’s masses to do on site.
