Mountain Valley is a small, private, British owned and run holiday retreat. Whether you are looking for a quick break or a family holiday, Mountain Valley is the perfect place to stay. You can either stay in one of our 6 apartments or the private luxury villa, all set in mature gardens with private swimming pool, a la carte restaurant and poolside bar.
Established since April 2000, Mountain Valley offers superb accommodation in fabulous surroundings. Situated right at the bottom of the famous BabaDag ('Father Mountain'), Mountain Valley offers spectacular views, in a peaceful setting, yet is only a 5 minute walk from the village of Hisarönü and 10 minutes from the most photographed beach in Turkey at Ölüdeniz, with the crystal waters of the Blue Lagoon.
Mountain Valley is owned and run by Adem & Sally Aykurt. Adem has worked in tourism in the area for over 15 years! Sally and Adem have lived at Mountain Valley since 1997 and took ownership/opened the doors to guests in April 2000. They live on site and ensure that one or other is always around to give information and offer help and advice, if needed.
Mountain Valley is private and not run by a tour operator. It is a small haven which never gets overcrowded and remains 'personal' - therefore enabling guests to enjoy their holiday in privacy, comfort and at their own pace.
Mountain Valley is approximately 1 hour from Dalaman airport. We can arrange your transfers in our private air conditioned minibus. Prices start at £15 per person each way, with discounts for parties of 4 or more.
The ApartmentsAt Mountain Valley we have just 6 apartments set in secluded gardens with a private swimming pool, poolside bar and restaurant. The apartments are set in a quiet, unspoilt area where you will be able to yet only 1km - a 5 minute walk - from the local village of Hisarönü where you will find shops, bars and restaurants and will be able to catch the dolmus (the local minibus service) into the local town of Fethiye.
Each apartment is fully air conditioned and sleeps up to 4 people. The apartments have a bright open plan setting with a double or twin bedroom, separate shower and toilet, living area with 2 sofa beds (comfortable sleeps 2 adults or children) and a well equipped kitchen/dining room with seating for 4. Each kitchen has a mini oven and hob, larder fridge and kettle as well as cooking utensils, crockery & cutlery.
The first and second floor apartments have 2 private balconies while the ground floor apartments have their own sun terrace with access to the swimming pool. Both the balconies and sun terrace have tables and chairs for guests to sit outside and enjoy the views.
All apartments are cleaned daily and towels/bed linen are changed every 3 days.
There is a communal iron/ironing board and a laundry service is also available.
The Villa
The villa, which is approximately 100 yards from the apartments are set in their own walled gardens with a separate private pool. The gardens have a large patio area, orange, lemon, palm and fig trees to name but a few and a covered gazebo with tables and chairs for guests to dine outside.
The villa sleeps up to 10 people.
There are 4 bedrooms - 2 doubles, and 2 family rooms, each with 3 single beds. All bedrooms are fully air conditioned and have built in wardrobes, dressing tables and chairs. Both the double bedrooms have their own private balconies with fabulous views.
There are 2 large bathrooms; one on the first floor with a shower, bath & toilet on the lower ground floor there is a luxury bathroom with a walk in shower, toilet and Jacuzzi bath. The living/dining room has sofas, armchairs and a dining table and chairs as well as a cd/music system.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, extractor fan, fridge freezer, dishwasher, all cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, an iron and ironing board.
The private pool has sun loungers, umbrellas and occasional tables and there is also a built in outdoor barbeque. And of course all the facilities at the apartments are only a short walk away.
Facilities at Mountain Valley
Within the mature garden setting is a large swimming pool and pool side bar, an outdoor and indoor restaurant, 2 hammocks and a traditional Turkish 'kosku' (chill out area). The pool has graduated steps in the shallow end and ladder steps in the deep end. Loungers, umbrellas and tables surround the pool and there is a waiter service so you don't even have to get up!
The restaurant provides an extensive international menu, with special emphasis on traditional Turkish cuisine. Special culinary needs can be catered for. Breakfasts, lunches and full evening meals are served and snacks can be ordered at any time. Diners can choose if they prefer to dine inside or 'al fresco' in the garden area. We can also provide room service and meals for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries etc...
The bar, named 'Mountainside Paradise' because of the fantastic views of the surrounding Mountains you can enjoy while you unwind with your holiday tipple. The bar serves a wide selection of local wines, beers and spirits as well as imported drinks and of course cocktails! In the bar area there is also a pool table and large screen satellite TV with British sport, news programs and music channels.
