Antalya is Turkey's main resort in the Mediterranean region. It’s a lovely city with palm lined streets and attractive marina. The city is famous for its excellent restaurants, designer shops and historical attractions. Lovely beaches can be found just a few miles away. In the old quarter called Kaleici, narrow meandering streets and colourful houses wind up and down the gently sloping lanes. The harbour front is excellent for nightlife, and the city is famous for its shopping. You can find everything from real designer clothes to fake rolexes and tacky souvenirs. Haggling is expected here, so its easy to find a bargain.

The city of Antalya is on Antayla bay, on a rocky coastline. The Taurus mountains loom above, well are a backdrop at least. Never heard of them? The range includes Mount Ararat, where Noah’s Ark landed. The range also includes Europe’s highest peak, the 18500 foot Mount Elbrus. They are very popular for hiking excursions. With great hotels including Lara Beach hotel and Porto Bello hotel, Antalya is an excellend destination for holidays.
