Fuerteventura Events – Typical Spanish festivals and fun all year round!

What's on Fuerteventura? For a start, June sees the Fiesta de San Antonio de Padua Fiestas in the villages of  Lajares and Toto. There's a fiesta Fiesta for every village, no matter how small, each unique and each spectacular. The locals put a huge amount of effort into celebrating and it shows! There's the de Nuestra Senora de la Salud Fiesta in Tuineje and the famous Fiesta de San Juan with bonfires all around the Island. There's a festival to honour St Peter, a fiesta in Pajara, one in Betancuria and the Fiesta de Nuestra Senora del Carmen Fiesta, held in several seaside towns. What's on in Fuerteventura? Loads! Check out our Fuerteventura flights, Fuerteventura hotels , Fuerteventura attractions and Fuerteventura holidays pages for more useful information.

Fuerteventura Events – Come fly at the annual kite festival

Fuerteventura events include the delightful sight of countless gorgeous kites vying for space in the clear, blue sky...  with a good, stiff Atlantic wind. The annual kite festival takes place at Dunas de Corralejo Natural Park and thousands of people flock there every year. If you're a keen kite boarder you'll love Sotavento during Fuerteventura's annual Grand Slam, with tens of thousands of pounds of prize money on the line. Or try something gentler at the lovely Antigua Windmill Craft Centre, set in beautiful gardens rich in local flowers, cactus and palm

It's Carnival time in February and March

Events in Fuerteventura don't get much better than carnival time in February and March. Every large town hosts a carnival, each noisier, livelier and more colourful than the last. You'll enjoy sports, culture, music and great cooking at every carnival, climaxing in spectacular processions of floats, dancers and fancy dress. The parties go on for days on end complete with fun fairs, music and all night revelling. The three biggest  carnivals are in Puerto del Rosario, Corralejo and Morro Jable. Go party!

    Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is a traditional Spanish gem of an island. The historical vibe results in the island feeling a little bit like you are deserted in the middle of nowhere. Gran Canaria has mountains, sand dunes, unspoilt beaches, parks, forests and culture in abundance.
