The third largest Dodecanese Island, Kos is second only to Rhodes in terms of its popularity with tourists. Kos holidays are renowned for the Greece weather - from April to October the weather isn’t expected to drop below 20°C - beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and lively culture offered. There are plenty of resorts in Kos catering for every type of holidaymaker, and if you wanted to vary your day to day experiences you can sample everything there is on cheap Kos holidays with ease; the island is just 25 miles across and 5 miles in length. In fact should you want to travel further afield Rhodes is just a short boat ride away, as is Bodrum in Turkey. Nightlife, history (Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine was Koan), culture, exploration and spectacular beaches, there really is little wonder why Kos is one of the most popular Greece holidays.

  • The Katerina Three Island Cruise

Setting sail from Kos Town, the Katerina Three Island Cruise will appeal to every tourist on cheap Greece holidays. You’re welcomed aboard with a shot of Ouzo, before setting sail across the Aegean to the secluded bay of Pserimos, where – after having a splash in the crystal clear water - you’ll be served a lunch of barbequed pork, salad and homemade bread. From there you’ll move onto Kalymnos, an island famed for its sponges, and Platti where you’ll get another chance to have a dip in the warm sea water. The journey back to Kos Town has a few surprises that you’ll have to find out for yourself on this unmissable voyage.

  • Xerokambos (Exotic Beach)

The historic old town of Kefalos is highly regarded amongst Kos’ cultural tourists. In addition to the old town, the looming medieval castle is very impressive and well worth a visit for the views afforded, but it’s the town’s beach Xerokambos, also known as Exotic Beach, that should see you take a trip to Kefalos on your cheap Kos holidays. The beach is so vast that you could spend a whole day there and not see another soul. Exotic Beach’s picture is frequently used to promote Kos, which should tell you all you need to know. Be warned however that clothes are optional, so bear in mind your scenery could be momentarily spoilt!

  • Nightlife in Kardamena

Kardamena is Kos’ party destination; offering pubs, bars and clubs that will appeal to everyone looking to let their hair down. Some clubs have been known to cover their clientele in soap suds during foam parties that run throughout the summer, while others can boast star DJs, such as Westwood. The atmosphere even before clubbing time is lively, with many of the bars offering drink deals that’ll get you in the mood for the main event later on. Kardamena is a popular destination for all inclusive Greece holidays.

  • Asclepeion

The father of modern medicine Hippocrates was born on the island of Kos. Located close to Kos Town is the ancient Asclepeion, the historical healing temple of Koans, where it’s believed that Hippocrates received his medical training. You’ll learn about the history of both the healing temple and Kos on your visit, which will also offer you spectacular views of the island and Aegean horizon.

  • Eleftherias Square

Located at the heart of Kos Town, Eleftherias Square is a great place to just kick back and watch the world go by on your Kos holidays. There are plenty of bars, cafés and tavernas for you to choose from, all with a very traditional feel. If fancied a walk around the vicinity of the square there is an archaeological museum for you to visit, while a marina, ancient market ruins and the Asclepeion are just short strolls away.
