Accommodation

Hera Village Hotel offers bungalows and apartments which appear as traditional Cretan lodgings. These have a bathroom with shower and hair dryer, telephone, refrigerator, TV (broadcast channels only) and terrace or balcony with sea or garden view. At an extra charge, paid locally, you can also equip your room with a safe and/or air-conditioning. Baby cots are available on request and will count as one person in the room and not in addition to the maximum occupancy.

All Inclusive Food & Drinks

The AI programme consists of breakfast (07:30–09:30), continental late breakfast (09:30–10:00), lunch (12:30–14:00) and dinner (19:00–21:30), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. Instead of lunch or dinner, lunch baskets with light food can be provided upon request (for guests who plan to be away the whole day). Snacks such as sandwiches are available at the pool bar between 10:30 & 12:00. Afternoon tea or coffee time with cake or biscuits takes place at the snack bar by the pool from 16:00-17:00. Ice cream is offered during lunch & dinner. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks like draught beer, wine by glass (red & white), raki, ouzo, brandy, whiskey, rum, vodka as well as soft drinks, cold beverages, coffee and tea are served at the pool bar (10:30-21:00) and the main bar (19:30-23:00).

All Inclusive Sports & Entertainment

Sport facilities at the hotel include English–speaking light animation programme during the day & evening such as bingo, quiz, etc, children animation (2 hours per day), sun beds & umbrellas by the pool as well as special events like Cretan night & BBQ night, which are available with 50% to the AI guests.

Chargeable Extras

Drinks after 23:00, branded alcoholic drinks, bottled soft drinks & water, champagne, scuba diving, pool table, special events, safety deposit boxes, air condition, internet corner, fax and baby sitting service are available at a charge. AI guests have the opportunity to buy any alcoholic branded drinks and soft drinks at a 50% discount during AI hours.

Facilities & Services

Within the grounds of the hotel, which is set in a total area of 68,000 sqm with landscaped gardens, there is a swimming-pool of Olympic standards and a smaller one for the children (both with sea water). The restaurant offers a great variety of cuisines and specialises in all traditional Greek and several international dishes. A dining room, a TV room, an internet cafe corner, a lounge area and a pool table are also available for your further satisfaction and amusement. Furthermore guests have access to a snack bar by the swimming pool, a night bar and a mini market. There is also a large car parking area in the entrance of the resort.

All Inclusive General Info

Al guests are given a bracelet which allows them to make use of the AI programme. They must wear this bracelet at all times. In the main restaurant and the main bar, proper attire is required (no shorts, swimsuits or flip flops are allowed). Built up of drinks is not available & each guest will be allowed only one drink at a time.

Useful Information on Distances

The distance from Heraklion Airport is 70km and driving time to the Hotel is approximately one hour. There is a rocky private beach underneath the hotel (approximately 600 m away) and there is a public organised sandy beach with sea sports and sun beds (at local charge) 1600 m from the hotel. The hotel is located 4km from both Agios Nikolaos and Elounda.

Hera village ensures relaxing holiday for everybody who wants to experience traditional Cretan lodging and hospitality. The breathtaking views give a romantic touch to the location of this property. The location itself makes the hotel a good starting point for exploring of the eastern side of Crete. For this purpose and for daily enjoying of the closest beaches car hire is recommended.
