Cheap Holidays in Taba - Great for Tourists

Stand on your tippy toes in Taba and you can spot Jordan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and - of course - Egypt. Now there are a few place names that crop up in the news fairly often. However, in recent years Taba has been in the public eye for entirely the right reasons. Its become very popular spot for cheap holidays in Egypt in recent years. This is partly due to the long golden beaches and fantastic weather, but also due to the friendly locals. There are many attractions here too, including excellent watersports.

Taba Heights is a new resort that’s intent on making the most of this eastern Sinai Peninsula location. It’s the place of the southern border crossing between Egypt and Israel, and people do indeed make their way here from Eilat, which has been a popular diving centre for years. Taba is catching up though. There are five star hotels springing up here, such as the Hyatt Regency Taba Heights, which is a luxury ‘resort hotel’ strategically placed between the mountains of the Sinai and the Red Sea in almost 1000 acres of landscaped gardens and lagoons. Cheap Taba Holidays - Plenty of Attractions

There are bars in many of the posh hotels that you can visit and some convincingly Egyptian entertainment is put on. There is an accent on water sports, and if you’re not going to be strapping on an aqualung and going on organised dives, the Red Sea here is a great place to investigate snorkelling. There’s a bazaar where you can buy Egyptian goods, and the Hilton has a busy Casino that attracts lots of people from across the border, especially at weekends when it’s open 24 hours. Flights to Taba – Taba Heights and Taba

Taba Heights and Taba resorts are the main focus of flights to Taba, both new-ish places purpose built for sun lovers and very popular with UK holidaymakers. Taba is just 22 miles north of Taba International Airport, the destination of most of the resort’s charter flights. The journey into Taba takes around three quarters of an hour, an excellent opportunity to sit in air-conditioned comfort and acclimatise yourself to the Egyptian landscape. How long do flights to Taba take? You’d be surprised. This exotic destination is only five hours away and the climate is absolutely gorgeous – provide you like it HOT – all year round. Take flights to Taba for easy access to Dahab, Nowibah and further afield into Egypt.

Taba Flights – Beaches, sun, sea and sealife

Taba airport is basic with no frills. They’ll probably add the frills later to bring it up to typical Egyptian standards of bling and glitz. Taba has a cool shuttle bus service if you can’t be bothered to walk around the resort’s hotels, restaurants and sports centres. Flights to Taba can lead to adventures but you need to take a bit of common sense care. It is safer to book yourself on a guided tour than attempt to explore Egypt in a hire car. Enough said. This is a vast country and Taba isn’t close to anywhere much. Al Arish is 120 miles away. Sharm El Sheikh is about the same. Suez is about 140 miles away and Ismailia over 150. Never mind – most people come here for beach and sea activities and flights to Taba mostly cater for traditional holidays.

Flights to Taba – Wallow in the warm, shallow Red Sea

The Red Sea is warm, flat and shallow. So Taba is ideal for kids, who can learn to snorkel and potter endlessly and safely on the beaches. For a wilder time head for the Waterworld Sports Centre; every imaginable kind of water based fun and games. Taba Attractions

Aside from the limitless attraction of the five star luxury and pampering this Red Sea resort offers, not to mention the diving and local excursions into the Sinai desert, there are trips to the pyramids and Cairo to consider, especially if you’re here for 14 nights.

Visas: If you do intend to make it as far as Cairo, you need a further visa to the one that’s issued free when you land. A full tourist visa typically requires your passport to be valid for at least six months from the date of issue. Taba has its own airport that great value charter flights from the UK are visiting daily. The airport is about 45 minutes away from the resort area and the direct flight time from the UK is in the region of 5 hours.
