Pathos Holidays - A Lovely Resort
Paphos offers lovely resorts, lovely beaches, and real history and is therefore a great choice for your Cyprus holidays. Paphos (often spelled Pafos too) is the capital of the western region of Cyprus. There’s the coastal resort area of Kato Paphos and the town of Pano Paphos, which is just inland. It’s not got a massive population, but it’s a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) world cultural heritage site. It got the airport only about 20 years ago, so is a relatively young destination. The beautiful old harbour quickly made a Paphos holiday popular though and it now attracts approaching a million visitors a year. Cheap all inclusive Cyprus holidays are available throughout the year. Making Paphos an excellent destination for culture and price.
Paphos Holidays - Lovely Beaches
Paphos has year round sunshine, and some of the best beaches in Cyprus. The warm temperatures and cool sea breezes make it the perfect place to relax. If you like watersports, you can rent anything from pedalos to windsurfs. You can even try parasailing. Paphos is a lively resort with many bars and nightclubs. It has some very good restaurants and some excellent shops. You can find everything from local markets to Debenhams department stores.
Cheap Holidays in Paphos - Many Historical Attractions
There’s a lovely seaside promenade in Paphos where restaurants and hotels abound, an archaeological museum, the Byzantine castle of Paphos (Byzantine, in case you didn’t get it last time: the art and style of the Eastern Roman Empire from about AD 330 to about 1450), the Tombs of the Kings, St Paul’s Pillar are close, and the Temple of Aphrodite, that saucy goddess of love, beauty, and naughtiness is handy too. There are a few high quality golf courses within 20 minutes of Paphos, notably Tasada Golf Club, which is 18 holes set in the grounds of a 12th century monastery. That’s right; golf wasn’t invented until the 15th century, smart alec. This wasn’t always a golf course okay? It was a monastery for a few years first. Paphos holidays offers something for everyone.
