Las Caletillas Hotels - A Lovely Resort

This former fishing village has become very popular with holidaymakers in recent years, and its very popular with couples and families. The resort is blessed with year round sunshine and some excellent facilities. Most of the hotels are in the 3-4 star range, so its not the place for really expensive luxury accommodation. However, most of these hotels are a very high standard, a most customers give us excellent feedback.

Hotels in Las Calletillas - Superb Facilities

Most hotels here have very good facilities gyms, outdoor restaurants and nice swimming pools. Some even have bowling greens and a mini golf course! There's also some great watersports on the nearby beaches. We strongly recommend the 4 star Catalonia Punta Del Ray as an excellent hotel to stay in. The rooms here are very comfortable, and they have very good children's entertainment.

Las Caletillas Hotelss - Lovely Beaches

This resort is famous for its excellent beaches in addition to it's friendly locals. It's one of the islands safest resorts, and the water stays warm at all times of the year. This makes it popular with families, and excellent for diving. Another great hotel near the beach is the Tenerife Tours, and prices are not too expensive there.

Holidays in Las Caletillas - A Great Place to Relax

Las Caletillas is on the north east coast is close to Santa de la Cruz, Tenerife’s capital. It’s certainly the place to come for a little more peace as those high rise hotels haven’t reached here just yet. Las Caletillas and its pebbled beach is close to Candelaria, a lovely little village with a volcanic beach. There’s the village of Masca or La Laguna, and its cathedral. The forest of La Esperanza isn’t far and there’s a handy ostrich farm that provides meat (yes, ostrich meat) to some local restaurants. Ostrich meat is tender and red, more like cow than chicken. We couldn’t eat a whole one. Can vegetarians eat ostriches? The ones that eat fish probably can, or do anyway, in secret.

Las Caletillas Holidays - Great Location

The resort is very close to the airport, which is very convenient for when you arrive. Its also close to Santa Cruz which is the island's capital city. This means that after relaxing in the daytime, you have the option of travelling to the city for great evening entertainment. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants in the local resort too. Las Caletillas Holidays are very suitable for couples and those with young families.

Holidays in Las Caletillas - Great Activities

For a small fee, you can enjoy great boat and sailing trips along the coastline. Sea fishing is very popular here too, and tourists have been known to catch huge fish such as Blue Marlin and Hammerhead Sharks. If you're after more relaxing day trips, how about a dolphin or whale watching tour? Teide National Park is well worth a visit too.

Las Caletillas Flights - Budget Airlines

Tenerife is served by several budget airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair. Cheap flights can be found at most times of the year, but we recommend booking early to get the best prices. Flights take just under 4 hours from most UK airports.

Flights to Las Caletillas - Airport Transfers

Las Caletillas is about 45 minutes away from Tenerife South Airport. We can arrange cheap return coach transfers to your hotel, or you can take your own private taxi when you get there. We can also arrange low cost car hire.

Las Caletillas Attractions

There are trips to La Gomera where you can hear silbo, which is also known as ‘Gomeran Whistle’. This is a secret whistled language spoken only by Gomerians. Have a look out for the big valleys around there - that’s what the whistle language was invented for - so the locals could communicate across the valleys. Mental note: there probably isn’t much in the way of mobile phone reception in La Gomera.

The flight to Tenerife is about 4 hours and 20 minutes and Las Caletillas is about 35 minutes transfer away.
