Cheap Holidays in Playa Blanca - A Pleasant Atmosphere
If Bob Marley went on his holidays to Lanzarote he'd choose Playa Blanca. Playa Blanca is laid back enough for you to be able to relax immediately upon arrival; there are great restaurants and bars, but not the type that have 100s of drunk youngsters leaping about. The best thing about a Playa Blanca holiday is the dramatic coastline. Not just a line of sand with some anonymous hotels on it here, oh no. It’s a lovely partly untouched part of the island, for now at least, and for a change of scenery you can take the ferry to Fuerteventura for a smashing day trip, which takes about 45 minutes (not the whole day trip, just the journey). There’s a new marina at Playa Blanca too, should you need somewhere to park your yacht.
Cheap Playa Blanca Holidays - Great Beaches
There are several excellent beaches to choose from in Playa Blanca. Playa Flamingo is just a mile from the town centre, and it offers more than 2km of lovely golden sand. This is a great area for watersports. Playa Dorada is a great beach too, but its slightly smaller and a little more crowded. If you want to bathe somewhere quieter, its only a few miles to the Papyago beaches. These are long stretches of beautiful white sands which are great for relaxing. They have a great reputation, and attract many visitors from mainland Spain.
Low Cost Holidays in Playa Blanca - So Many Attractions
You will never run out of things to do in Playa Blanca. Great daytime excursions include dolphin watching, sailing excursions, and boat trips to Fuerteventura. Its a great place to learn diving too. The Marina Rubicon is considered the best area for shopping. There's not as much nightlife as in some Canaries holidays destinations, but there are many good bars and restaurants to choose from (including Playa Blancas very own Cafe Del Mar!).
