Occidental Grand Teguise Playa

The Hotel Occidental Teguise Playa is located in Lanzarote, the most impressive and best preserved of all the Canary Islands. It is situated in the quiet and exclusive residential area of Costa Teguise facing the golden sandy beach of the small bay of El Jablillo.

Within the hotel's grounds you will find two tennis courts (one hard & one soft), table tennis, squash court, mini-golf, giant chess board, gymnasium, Jacuzzi, aerobics, massage, sauna. You will also find two seawater swimming pools (one heated) and a sweetwater one for children with wide sun terraces, loungers and parasols. You can additionally enjoy billiards, petanque, shooting, archery, darts, basket, handball, volleyball and futbito. Daytime entertainment program by the Fun Club team (six times per week; not on Sunday) includes shuffleboard, darts, sjoelen, shooting, gymnastics in the pool, aerobic, weekly management cocktail. Also daily activity program in the night with evening shows and nightly national and international live music is offered at the hotel. Occasional professional shows such as acrobatics, magic, folklore, contortionists and Fun Club shows such as dance contests, Broadway and karaoke. For children from 4 to 12 years old there is a miniclub. An activity program performed by professional entertainers. Children from 0 to 4 years old may use the Fun Club supervised by their parents.

Premium drinks, room service, picnic, tennis & squash equipment and instructors, scuba diving, hairdressing, beauty salon, massage, sauna, jacuzzi, telephone, laundry, safety deposit box, pay TV, shops, medical services, rent a car, meeting & banqueting facilities and baby sitting are available at a charge.

Check in at 14:00, check out at 12:00. Dress code applies in the Jablillo restaurant at dinner time; men are kindly asked to wear long trousers.

This unit is 14km from the international airport and 10km from Lanzarote's capital, Arrecife; it is 2km from the Costa Teguise Golf Camp, 200m from the bus stop and a mere 500m from the beach.

Sport facilities at the hotel include gym, tennis, squash, mini golf, table tennis, giant chess and organized games by the Fun Club such as French balls, shooting range, archery, darts, football, aerobics, volleyball, basketball, aqua gym and shuffleboard. Activities like weekly management cocktail, scuba clinic, sports TV (in Spanish) and library are also available. In the nightly activities there is live local & international music by the hotel Orchestra, daily professional shows (acrobatics, magician, folklore, contortionists, dancers) and Fun Club Team shows (dance contest, Broadway, quiz show). At the mini club (4-12yrs old) the youngest can enjoy activities performed by the Fun Club Team like mini golf, mini French balls, painting, handy crafts, games and mini disco (S:20:15, W:20:00).

The AI programme consists of European breakfast (06:30-07:30), full American breakfast (07:30-10:30), lunch (12:30-15:00, plus grill) and dinner (S:18:30-21:30, W:19:00-22:00), all buffet style with international cuisine, served in the El Jablillo restaurant. Theme buffet dinner take place three times weekly (Canarian or Spanish, Mexican or International, Seafood). During lunch & dinner house wine, water, beer and soft drinks are offered. Also at the disposal of the AI guests once per stay and with prior reservation is one of the specialty restaurants; Italian, Grill & Steak House (dress code required). Cold snacks, fruit, pastries, coffee and infusions are available from 10:30-12:30 & 15:00-18:00 at the El Jabillo or from 18:00-19:00 & 21:30-24:00 at Alisios lobby bar. Coffee time with pastries is from 10:00-12:30 at the pool bar. Locally produced alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks are served at Estrella (10:00-18:00) and Alisios (18:00-24:00). In-room mini bars are replenished every three days with water.

There is the non smoking El Jablillo Restaurant with buffet American breakfast, International barbecue lunch and International dinner. This outlet offers theme dinners three times per week (Canarian, Spanish, Mexican, Seafood, etc.). Please note that clients on half board may swap their dinner for lunch. Also a new Italian non smoking a la carte restaurant at dinner time. Guests may have dinner there once per stay without an additional charge, making a previous reservation in the main restaurant. after when the facility offers snacks (cold and hot dishes and desserts; not included in the board package) for the rest of the afternoon. All the aforementioned outlets serve drinks and refreshments; additionally the bar salon Los Alisios is made available to guests.
