Everyone’s heard of Ryanair. If you haven’t, you’ve probably been up the Amazon for the last decade. Or in space. Or living in a hole in the ground. In short, they’re a low cost airline with no frills, a wonderful ‘don’t mess with me, I have sharp teeth’ boss and a feisty attitude. Ryanair is the peoples’ champion - the airline of the common bloke we suppose – like Easyjet, lovers of affordable travel and low cost holidays. We love Ryanair’s website. It looks just like the front page of The Sun newspaper. Big blocks of blue and red, massive type, loud, brash and cheap looking. Which is fine. They’re honest. Ryanair is all about saving money on your holidays, without a hint of pretentiousness. 

Ryanair’s website is packed with useful stuff. If you’ve got a tendency towards being indecisive or your life’s perpetually in a state of upside down-ness, they even let you change and review your flights and check in from your home PC. Ryanair flights are the original low cost way to travel in Europe and they’re still Europe’s biggest low fares carrier. Imagine… 52 million people travelled with Ryanair last year on 800 routes from 26 Eurropean countries. Phew. They’re not messing about.

OK. 52 million passengers. 31 bases in Europe. Almost 170 new Boeing 737-800s and around 100 more on the drawing board. New destinations added every time you blink… But that’s not all. Ryanair’s cheapo-looking website also includes loads of other useful stuff; you can win £100,000 there or register your details to get special flight and holiday offers by email. You can trawl through their ‘Bargains’ section and hook yourself a flight or a holiday somewhere hot for a few quid. A very few quid.  Or book yourself a skiing holiday, a beach holiday or family holiday. Arrange your airport parking. Buy travel insurance. And… wait for it… you can even buy your gas and electricity on the Ryanair site. Weird… are they taking over the world?
