Playa del Ingles is the largest Gran Canaria holiday resort and the second largest in the whole of Europe in fact, which gives you some idea of what to expect here. Not a tiny fishing village! If it’s mingling with the locals and relaxing in a quiet taverna you want this is probably not the best place! Playa Del Ingles Flights - Budget Airlines

Gran Canaria is served by several budget airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair. Cheap flights can be found at most times of the year, but we recommend booking early to get the best prices. Flights take just over 4 hours from most UK airports.

Playa Del Ingles is just over 20 minutes from Las Palmas Airport. We can arrange cheap return coach transfers to your hotel, or you can take your own private taxi when you get there. We can also arrange low cost car hire.

Palmitos Park – Gran Canaria – Playa Del Ingles Attractions

This big ornithological park, aquarium, and butterfly house is half an hour from Playa de Ingles. There are loads of parrots here – over 1000. Some parrots are flying round at liberty and some take part in a ‘show’ (Hmmm… is it Evita? Put on entirely by parrots?) Some of the parrots are kept caged, the naughty ones probably. It’s one of the biggest collections of parrots in the world.
