Family holidays ...

Family holidays – Check out your hotel carefully
Family holidaysIf you’re taking the whole family on holiday, the world’s your oyster. There aren’t many resorts in the world that don’t offer family holidays and child focused facilities. All inclusive deals are a good place to start. Most all inclusive holidays have excellent facilities to keep the kids safely amused for hours while you chill out in peace. We think it’s a good idea to do some careful research before you book your hotel. We’ve noticed that a lot of hotels describe themselves as suitable for family holidays, couples and groups. While it is nice of them to be so flexible you won’t be too happy when your kids are kept awake all night by a constant stream of happy returning drunks, revellers and clubbers.

Family holidays – Camp, hire a cottage, hit a resort
Family holidays come in all flavours. Hire a tent for two weeks on a French camp site and rough it in relative style and comfort. Hire a holiday cottage in the wilds and have a family holiday walking, exploring and playing games by a roaring fire. Whisk everyone off to the mountains for family focused skiing holidays that cater for novices and little kids; take over a family-sized chalet and make it your home from home. Or head for a white sandy beach and let them play safely on the shore all day while you… just drift!

Family holidays – Sometimes the best are the simplest
Some people treat their family holidays as an opportunity to let the kids go wild. We spent our summer holidays on a camp site in East Lothian; vivid memories of leaving the tent in the morning and not returning ‘til dusk, filthy and totally happy. Pockets full of seashells, bird skulls and all sorts of treasures washed up on the tide. Sometimes the simple family holidays are the best ones. You don’t always need to spend a fortune to enjoy each others’ company. But you can if you want to!

Can’t wait? Book your family holidays here!
